Steamboat Theater & Rental Operations – Phase II
Phase II of the Steamboat Theater initiative will bring the site to life with seasonal programming, community-led events, and rental services that activate the venue and surrounding park. This includes live performances, movie nights, interpretive history presentations, and youth workshops designed to connect residents and visitors with Toledo’s riverboat legacy.
The adjacent kiosks will be operated as a small business or nonprofit-run service, offering rentals of paddleboards, kayaks, and bicycles. The goal is to foster economic opportunity while supporting healthy outdoor activity.
Revenues from programming and rentals will help sustain the site, ensuring long-term stewardship and community benefit. Phase II turns the iconic structure into a living part of Toledo’s civic and cultural calendar.
